jdmidwest Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Found this on STL online today, seems like a person was doing a little gardening, reaches in his bag of Scotts potting soil from Wally World, and pulls out a copperhead snake attached to the end of his finger. That would be a surprising "oh sh--" moment. And of course, he did like any good American, he sues the company that made the bag of soil, because, in this new United States, Corporations and Government are responsible for public safety, not individuals. Man gets bit by copperhead in Potting Soil Bag. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 I say bravo sierra. Those bags are vacuum pressed. How could a snake survive in there. My family owned a nursery and I've unloaded many trucks of top soil and if anything was in the bags it would be crushed. Can't wait ti see this outcome, thanks JD. SIO3
FishinCricket Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 Classic capitalism... Dontcha love it? McGregor immediately began bleeding after being bitten and suffered pain and swelling in his elbow, the suit says. He has racked up more than $90,000 in medical expenses and continues to suffer discomfort, it claims. What I think is funny is how, in order to attempt to make the suit stick, the guy not only has to rack up an enormous medical bill (90k, seriously?) but also has to prove what a wimp he is by claiming that he continues to suffer... And heck, for all I know he does still suffer... But how can he possibly hold the company accountable and think it'll stick? If that works then I'm suing Uglystick for getting me addicted to catching big smallies... I want compensation for all the hours I've lost at work (calling in sick to fish), all the dinners and gifts I've had to buy my wife (cause I'm makin' up for being out on the river)... Oh, and I want replacements for all the lures I've lost in the trees (cause that uglystick rod just casts too smooth)... And I'm sure my adventures on the river (which would have never happened if it wasn't for uglystick) have had me injured many times... Yup, I'm finally gonna get rich... Shakespeare can afford it... . And after all, it's the American way! cricket.c21.com
flytyer57 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 ...Oh, and I want replacements for all the lures I've lost in the trees (cause that uglystick rod just casts too smooth)... Really? You sure it isn't the lame butt casts you made that put those lures in the trees? If that UglyStick was all that smooth of a rod, I think that those lures would have landed where you wanted them to. Unless of course you were casting for the copperheads in the trees. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 "If that works then I'm suing Uglystick for getting me addicted to catching big smallies..." Wouldn't you actually have to of caught a big smallie?? Jus sayin. SIO3

You sure it isn't the lame butt casts you made that put those lures in the trees? You did know that Jesus hates you, right? (You're doing it wrong...) cricket.c21.com
flytyer57 Posted March 26, 2011 Posted March 26, 2011 You did know that Jesus hates you, right? Do you think I'm the kind of person who really gives a crap? There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
