Members springfieldFlyFisher Posted April 2, 2011 Members Posted April 2, 2011 Got down to crane around 11 this morning and fished until 5. Decided to start at the park and fished down to the railroad bridge. First time I have fished this section. Caught 10 or 15 and lost just about as many. Caught a few on elk hair caddis but the bulk came on prince nymph, red copper john, and red san juan. Really like this section of water. It was a beautiful day to be on crane creek and the fishing was great. Attaching some pictures of some of the nicer fish.

eric1978 Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 If you wanna kill some fish by throwing them on gravel for a photo, how about doing it at a park where it doesn't matter? Just sayin'. Go ahead and berate me...I don't care. It's wrong.
Justin Spencer Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I'm with you on this one Eric, normally I don't comment on these picture takings. When I'm alone I hold it out in front of me and snap a picture. Even putting it in some wet algae would give the fish a chance, but putting them on dry rocks where they can flop around knocks off their slime coat and they will get sick and die within a few days. On fragile streams that aren't stocked this could have a big impact. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 2, 2011 Root Admin Posted April 2, 2011 There's one thing to know about forums... you're not going to be cut much slack at times. This forum is all about education. Unfortunately, sometimes the teaching is pretty harsh. Don't take is personally. Thanks for the report.

Go ahead and berate me...I don't care. It's wrong. You could always just leave the fragile little fishie in the little brook...? How many times has a fish taken your line into a tangle and broken you off? Isn't it better to just leave the fish in the water? And how come you didn't chide me for posting the exact same darn report? Cuz we're buddies? cricket.c21.com
