joeD Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 What can you say? Butler could have built a mansion with the number of bricks they threw up. Ouch. As an intentional aside, Jim Calhoun is 68 years old and has been coaching at UConn for 25 years. He now has three NCAA championships (All after 1999. Hmm). Sometimes it's better to be the turtle than the hare.
Trout Commander Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Butler shoots 30% as a team and they win a huge upset by a large margin. They shoot 18.8% and lose by 12. I was really pulling for them but didn't have enough body english while sitting in my chair to get any of their shots to fall. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 5, 2011 Root Admin Posted April 5, 2011 It was ugly... if Butler could have just even made 1 or 2 key 3's towards the end, they could have pulled it off. Great exposure for the school and coach. Class act. Hope we see them again next year in the tournament.
stlfisher Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 I was routing for Butler as well. Too bad they went ice cold. I think they shot 18% for the game...ouch!
