Chris Gates Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Does the Fly shop sell Schaefer, STAG, or PBR? You mentioned everything you need to fish the river. Just wondering..
Justin Spencer Posted April 6, 2011 Author Posted April 6, 2011 Does the Fly shop sell Schaefer, STAG, or PBR? The finest things must be imported by the fishermen. Like I said, the shop is not fancy! But us "Elitist Snob" fly fisherman have better taste. Hence the Schaefer and STAG. I personally only drink PBR - in 16 ounce cans. Blue Ribbon Beer on a blue ribbon stream you see. I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. The latest Trout Commander blog post: Niangua River Six Pack

Justin Spencer Posted April 7, 2011 Author Posted April 7, 2011 But us "Elitist Snob" fly fisherman have better taste. Hence the Schaefer and STAG. I personally only drink PBR I think the beer selection results from going to the liquor store AFTER the fly shop where the fly fisherman has just dropped $100 on supplies for the upcoming trip. Funny that the only time I ever see Stag is from fly fishermen (Gates), and 90% of the PBR is also consumed by fly fishermen (Gates). Those "specialty" beers are hard to find in Ozark County so I am forced to stick to Natty Light most of the time I'm on the river.
