Members 93notch Posted April 17, 2011 Members Posted April 17, 2011 fished it this weekend. The water was high and fast til saturday afternoon. Then the fishing turned out ok. Caught some decenet fish nothing to brag about.
troutfiend1985 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I fished the park this morning. Water appears to be up at least a foot, but still green, with visibility about 2.5 feet. I caught several fish but all were under 10 pounds. I couldn't tell if the creek was rising or falling from the additional rain overnight. Crowds were light for a weekend. If you're catching fish consistently over 10lbs then I'm saying "pictures or it isn't happening" “The greatest menace to freedom is an inert people” J. Brandeis
laker67 Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 If you're catching fish consistently over 10lbs then I'm saying "pictures or it isn't happening" Not "consistent" but more like an average. 31 in the past 35 years. I have never been a picture taker, so most, will be of the dead fish. Yes I said dead. My original post was a slam to bssp about their average size fish. 8 to 15 pound fish use to be common at bssp in 70's and 80's. Now, it's a rare occasion. Since 04, the average fish size has shrunk, and lunkers are earned, not just caught like they were in 70's.
