Chief Grey Bear Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I want everyone that fishes the streams and rivers of Missouri to voice their concern here about their right as given to them by the Missouri Supreme Court. Even if you don't live in this state but fish it, you still have the right. Please keep it professional and on the upper level. We are all outstanding fisherman and though we may not agree on some issues, I am positive we stand united on this one. Much like a petition, we need as many to sign on to this thread as we can. Really every member of this forum should have a concern. duckydoty Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 I believe that if someone interferes with or harrasses a person fishing within the banks of a stream or river that has been accessed by way of a public boat launch put in by the Missouri Department of Conservation or any stream or river that has been accessed in any legal manner, including but not limited to a public access administered by the Missouri Department of Conservation, then the harrasser/interferer should be punished to the fullest extent of the law. The state of Missouri has laws in place to keep this from happening and yet it still happens all the time. The only way to stop this type of harrassment and intimidation is to punish the law breakers. This stream, Shoal Creek, has obviously been deemed navigatable by someone in the higher powers of the states government, or the MDC would not have put a public boat launch on the stream in order for the public to navigate it. I, Duane Doty, demand that something be done in order to correct this wrong doing and to insure that it does not happen again. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! If fishing was easy it would be called catching.
