Cricket, I don't know about others, but "managed" is the wrong word! You should see Hickory on July 5th, doesn't look like we ever existed! :oh-noes: Pm me with your contact info and I will put you in touch with Andrew. He is the go to person in this region for Stream Teams. Anyone can adopt a stretch of stream and more than one person or group can do this. The Audubon center out of south Joplin formed an Association not long ago. They are also good people to talk to.

Yeah, I help clean up the Niangua on occasion (and every time I float), but there's no end to it..

I would suggest you make contact with some of the landowners along the stream, maybe they will help too. Locally, one of them even offered to haul off the trash we collected on the Castor River a few weeks back.
