I passed on a trip in 06, couldn't justify spending the 7 grand. Those dams will have some kind of impact, but I am not sure if it would be good or bad for the sea runs. They surely would do some type of fish ladder like they do for salmon. Who knows, they may plan to stock seaforellens in the lakes.
Gavin Posted May 13, 2011 Author Posted May 13, 2011 Not sure it would have an impact or not....I just hate to see another wild place defiled by a series of hydro electric dams. Figure I've got 32 years of fishing ahead of me before I hit 75......it will happen.

Not a friendly place for long casts or sight fishing. I was looking at Chile late in the season. More protected and smaller water. The later in the season, the more big fish farther up. I watched Larry Dalberg land a 25 pounder right near the border of Argentina and Chile. Joe Brooks 1955 IGFA world record brown came from Chile.
ollie Posted May 14, 2011 Posted May 14, 2011 I hope it doesn't happen as well. Man has developed just about every corner of the world he can and normally dedstroys something in the process. At least I know the good people of Pantagonia Outdoor will fight this! Their CEO is a huge darn buster! "you can always beat the keeper, but you can never beat the post" There are only three things in life that are certain : death, taxes, and the wind blowing at Capps Creek!
