The guy behind the counter at Cabelas told me don't buy this X50 Fluorocarbon, just thought I would pass this on. It's $16.99 per spool.

any reasons why????? I have a spool of 8 lb, havent used it yet though.

Buddy of mine works in the LaVista Ne. store. They were testing the X-50 on a spring scale vs Vicious. Said the X-50 was worse (can't imagine). The 8# was breaking @ 3#....but keep in mind the line was dry too.

He said after limited use, it starts splintering and becomes very stretchy. A bad combination.

Great!!!! I swear these tackle manufacturers see me coming.....they know there is a black hole in my pocket with money constant flowing out it to them.......I will buy anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by the way I stocked up on a bunch of War Eagle stuff friday including apparel ....I'm a sucker!!!!

I can attest to that! I was at Smalliebigs on Friday and he has boxes and boxes of brand new, unopened gear.

Who am I kidding... I have the same issues!
