snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 In my best Harry Caray voice. That youngster really put it to that ball. Back, back, back, back, look at the redhead in the halter top, back back back..... He hit that one into next week. Somebody get me a bourbon and water....burp Pete
flytyer57 Posted June 13, 2011 Posted June 13, 2011 Maybe you didn't look hard enough at those "crappy" flies you tie.... Man!!! I crack myself up.. Pete Words hurt man. But that was funny. Now let's go fishing. There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
flytyer57 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 The only thing you've been working on is your golf swing. Leave the little white balls alone and go fishing!!!!! There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.
Members ksbass Posted June 14, 2011 Members Posted June 14, 2011 You guys crap me up! I too noticed the mulberry hatch on our trees. Last year I tied some hooks on our mulberry tree and got some nice looking mulberry flies this year. We didn't have the big rains around Hillsdale this year and the flats never flooded into the weeds so left the mb trees high and dry. Need to hit the flats though and get after them in the canoe. flytyer57 Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 Last year I tied some hooks on our mulberry tree and got some nice looking mulberry flies this year. Now that was an ingenious idea. Can one call that fly fising since the material was tied to the hook? There's a fine line between fishing and sitting there looking stupid.

Thats a nice fly, and i can tell its not a berry tied to a hook. ...i have a little trouble fishing / setting the hook with the floaters... i prefer flies like this...seems to ring everybodys bell...just bead chain, dubbing, some turkey feather for a tail on a gamakatsu sl45 bone fish hook...its a fan with the fish....then you can take it with you to the bluegill pond or the trout steam and it works just as well there too. Even though in the first pic the hook is broken ..these are great hooks. much stronger than anything i've ever fished. Missouriflies.com Online Carp Fly Store
