FishinCricket Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 The wife has never seen (or heard of) the North Fork of the White, so I coerced her into taking a trip down tomorrow.. We'll be at sunburst ranch at 7:45 to check out the digs, buy a few flies and hop a ride to Hammonds for a float down.. I expect you all to be on your best behavior while I'm away! Anyone got suggestions, points of interest, etc? I was thinkin I should plan on using big streamers, eh? cricket.c21.com

snagged in outlet 3 Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I'm a proud hilbilly, born and raised in the StL Metro. Eh!! Pete Cicada killer.
Brian Sloss Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 I would suggest listening to what Justin says, I'm sure he has the skinny. Streamers do sound like a pretty good option though considering all the big browns landed there this spring. www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
Nortrad Posted June 7, 2011 Posted June 7, 2011 Watch for these, if they're out, tie on and hang your fave attractor nymph down below.
gotmuddy Posted June 8, 2011 Posted June 8, 2011 until you get to rainbow spring there are no trout, once you get past it trout water all the way to justin's camp. Rainbow spring is the biggest point of interest IMO in that float. You will possibly have to portage over warren bridge. I had to lay down in my yak sunday to get under patrick. Be sure to take your wife to the spring at patrick bridge. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
