abkeenan
Have caught them before on stickbaits in march, 0-5ft shallow running crankbaits in the summer and a jewel pro spider jig with a paca chunk trailer in the fall. All by accident. Wish I would catch them a little more often as they are the best tasting fish you will find in fresh water.
rps
I have NO intent to stir an argument, but here is an ironic point: MDC and AFG stock walleyes because the natural reproduction is not sufficient to create a fishery. Bass reproduce quite well most years. So which fish do people keep and eat if legal size? BTW, I catch and release bass, but I eat legal walleyes. powerdive
rps, if bass tasted better things would be different. Just put some under your tomatoes and call it even.

With tongue firmly in cheek.....well...why not eat them ?...after all, you are paying for them.
powerdive
Nope, skeeter, by sheer weight of numbers, YOU are paying for 'em. So, thank you. I'm happy there are any walleyes at all, this far south. So go ahead and harvest a few walleye fillets. It's GOOD for the population. But yeah, sometimes those 'eyes are tougher than a bugger to find. They're out there, and in ever-growing numbers, so someone's gotta be catching some at any given time. I figure you bass boys would run across some decent walleyes now and then...hoping to learn something from you.
Jeremy Rasnick
Fished Cops for Kids tourney today and partner caught at 20 incher on a DD22 shad Color. I also talked to a buddy who had caught a really nice one on a shaky head. Ours was within sight of the mill creek ramp. Ended up with 12.5 lbs on the bass. Couldn't get the good ones to the the boat.
