Al Agnew Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Geez, what's with MODOT? I live close to the little village of Weingarten. Note the spelling. On a sign on Hwy. O, it says, "Wien Garten 2 miles". Also, as you're going south on I-55, you come to an exit sign. Says that the exit to Hwy. O is 1 mile. It's really a half mile to the exit. Then the next exit you come to, Hwy. 32, it says the exit is in 1/2 mile. It's a mile to the exit.
jdmidwest Posted June 29, 2011 Author Posted June 29, 2011 My pet peeve with them lately is that they close a stretch of road to replace a bridge and detour traffic miles out of the way around it instead of making a bypass bridge. Here locally, 61 is closed at Appleton, 34 is closed at Burfordville, and I just saw that 2 smaller roads are closed today for culvert repairs.
