taxidermist Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Mornings the water has been zero to one unit. Making Rim great for fishing as well as from the state park down. afternoons the corp has been bringing 6-8 units on line. the water arrives at the Cotter area about1 to 2 pm. Fishing has been excellent for browns and bows. Possibly the best brown trout fishing I have ever seen.
Ham Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 I am READY to drift a Zebra midge. Maybe I can get out soon. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
taxidermist Posted July 15, 2011 Author Posted July 15, 2011 Rattle traps and crank baits, jerk baits really almost anything. I think it was Monday of this week Guide Carl Jones was fishing in the morning near Renyolds hole with live bait and caught a 80lb blue catfish. Look for pics in the Mountain Echo.
Ham Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Wet waded at Rim Shoals on Wednesday. Water never really got down like I wanted it too and once Iwas really dialed in the rise hit. I got 29 to hand with a zebra midge. I jad some nice chunky bows and one cutt that survived a blue heron. Fish sure were colored up and pulling hard. I'm dreaming of prolonged low water. Ham Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 I've fished low water from my boat a couple of times the last few days. The river is really fishing well. Zig jigs are catching > 10 fish an hour with 13 inch fish being the most common size. Mostly bows where I am fishing, but one in 20 is a Cutt. I have caught anything over 17 inches lately.
