mic Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I've been on the run lately so if this already posted apologies up front: This is a new record Northern Pike in Canada. He caught it on Turtle Lake. Check this thing out... The man (in the photos below), was fishing and caught a 36" Pike. As he was reeling it in, a 56" - 55 lb Pike tried to eat it !!!!! He landed them both in the same net. The last picture is unreal
TroutRinger Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 That last picture is too cool it almost looks fake! "Of all the liars among mankind, the fisherman is the most trustworthy." "There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore like an idiot."
drew03cmc Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I saw this years ago. That was caught in 2008 on Rainy Lake, not Turtle Lake. Thanks for posting it though. http://www.everydayweekender.com/56-inch-55-pound-mammoth-pike-caught-on-rainy-lake-in-ontario/ Andy

eric1978 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Looks like a spoonbill bred with an alligator. Wow, what a fish. Too bad he didn't catch it on the line.
