ColdWaterFshr Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 I thought the question was about multipliers. I generally go with about 1.5 When someone asks me how many fish I caught and I know the truthful answer is 4, I whip out my multiplier table and reply 6! Anything higher than 1.5 and it becomes increasingly difficult to sell it with any kind of conviction. 10 fish is easy to fudge up to 15, but I would get called on the carpet for sure if I said 20.

Ah, you beat me to it, sir... Kudos, kudos.. :walks_away_giggling: Hyphens and the like are important, boys and girls.. It's the difference between these two billboards: Say ‘NO’ to Drugs from your local DARE officer and Say ‘NO’ to Drugs- from your local DARE officer Subtle, but massive in context!! lol (some would mention here that that hyphen should probably be a comma, but I think that's taking things a bit too far.. ) cricket.c21.com
stlfisher Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Hemostats and nail clippers tied down to my pack.
exiledguide Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Even though I use a hemostat and a nipper when fishing, guided by rule #6,fishing subsection of how to stay married for 49 years, the overpriced Leatherman stays on my boat deck at all times because it was given to me by my wife.

And every time she sees it she says "Wow, honey!! You keep this thing really clean, don't you?" And you say "Of course! You gave it to me!" and secretly think "and I haven't really touched it since!" cricket.c21.com
Wayne SW/MO Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 The Gerber design always pinched my fingers when closing them down close like on a hook to debarb them. Well you either have fat fingers or you're putting them in the wrong end of the pliers. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
jdmidwest Posted July 15, 2011 Author Posted July 15, 2011 Interesting. I use mine every day for something or other. Fishing, I have used the scale to measure a fish from time to time. I get a better grip to debarb a hook than I can with hemostats. The saw blade has cut limbs and gotten lures out of trees. The screwdrivers have fixed reels and other stuff. File to sharpen hooks.
