I always figured the James would be to big to wade fish. Are there many bends in this streach that the water gets above chest high on the shallow side?

In some places it can be quite deep but you should have no problem finding places to wade fish

I'm definitely planning on going to the golf course for fishing now! I've played the course before and wondered if people could come and fish if they wanted to.

JimG One tip when wading some times when the hole looks to deep to wade the shallow water will follow the bottom out to the middle of the stream or even over to the far bank. If this is the case remember on your way back down and get back before dark. Some times though you just run out of shallow water...........that's when you go home and buy a canoe.
