Members luv2fish
Went last friday and put in at high point, fished timber in 14-16 ft. Only limited success, enough for dinner. Are they on the deeper brush piles or just not biting?
straw hat
I sure can't help. Been too hot for me. I just can't bring myself to face that much heat. Hopefully it will cool soon.
Members jbeenemd
I also was out there Friday. Put in at Mutton Creek and hit the brush piles. Fished with minnows. Got a few bites and went home with one 11" crappie. Started at daybreak and stopped at 10AM. Too slow to try and brave the heat after a slow morning. Was going to try and troll but fprgot to check my batteries and they had very little charge on them so would have been pointless to try that. Stockton Lake Guide Service
All the crappie were catching Our troops are in the deep brush piles And most of those you're coming on the nose I'm having a real tough time with a jig bite. Members SMOKER
Hi guys, I am a brand new newbee on this forum, so bear with me. I have been reading this forum for a while and have learned a lot of stuff. I mostly fish Truman Lake now since I bought a place at Warsaw. I fish mainly for crappie in the spring (spawn time), and after that go after the hybrids and walleye after they return to big water after the spawn. Usually have excellent success with the crappie, moderate to good with the hybrids, and only fair on the walleyes.I have two questions. What are bandit 300s, and a slow death rig? Is the slow death rig just a wire bottom bouncer with a leader (of various lengths) attached to the swivel of the bouncer? As for the bandits, I have looked for them a few places with no luck. Have not tried Everharts in Clinton tho. Can someone help me out. thanks, ed
Members luv2fish
Just google "slow death rigs or hooks" and there should be plenty of stuff showing how to rig them up. BP has the bandits and the slow death hooks or go on line and they are easy to find at a variety of sources. Everharts probably has the bandits, but I doubt they have the slow death hooks, but they might. Good Luck.
