Ham Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 It 's pretty cool when it happens. I hook a lot more doubles than I land, but it isn't so unusual that it warrants getting a mount. A nice photo should suffice. Cajun angler and I caught the same crappie on the same cast. We both threw into a general area where we had a school of crappie located. That crappie ate both our jigs. He got the death penalty for it. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

I thought I had done something really unique.
Ham Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 My Dad had four (4) doubles in one day on the Red River below Shreveport. He was catching Spots and LMB cranking points with current on them using Bandit 100's. That's likely a once in a lifetime deal. I get about one double a year. Mostly smallmouth creek fishing. Pretty easy to double on White Bass with crankbaits when you find them schooling. My Dad and I had a double double on White bass also on the Red River at the mouth of the "port" lake.
