Members TArcher
It may not be the norm but I had an idea. I see where some people want to be or tie hook up on a sculpin pattern to help keep from getting snagged on a rock. I may not be the first to think of this but I haven't seen anyone use this type of hook to tie a sculpin pattern. Anyway here she is.... From the eye of hook to end of hide on rabbit strip measures 3 1/8" but the hair hangs back of course making the overall length 4". The hook is a Eagle Claw Lazer sharp 1/0 offset worm hook from Wal-mart. So what do ya think? Leonard
If the hook is sharp ... use it! Those hooks are sharp enough to go through the jaw of a bass or a walleye... Then they should give a very LOVELY "lip piercing" to a nice trout.. Also I like the colors.. Trout Commander
I like it. What size dumbbell eyes did you use? I have spent most of my money on fly fishing and beer. The rest I just wasted. fishinwrench
That's a winner, good move on the hook style.
Wayne SW/MO
I've tied Clousers on popper hooks and they will insure an upright hook point. I understand that others tie on 60degree jig hooks to insure an upright stance. I imagine you'll have to try it to see whether or not the hook gap will make a difference. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
