Members NuB2TR Posted September 19, 2011 Members Posted September 19, 2011 I believe I injured mine teaching girls to fast-pitch softball. I coached for high-school 7 yrs and travel-ball for 7 yrs. With all the rotator-cuff exercises I had my girls do to avoid injury, you'd think I would done some myself.... another too macho or too stupid thing. Had to retire from coaching after getting my knee scoped from injury teaching girls to catch my pitchers.... they shoot horses, don't they? JB is right. They've come a long way in repairing damaged joints. You did the right thing in seeing a specialist if you can't lift grocery sacks to the table. The deciding issue for me was when I couldn't fasten my carpenters' belt behind my back. Good luck with yours.
Martin Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Adhesive encapsulation ... Hurts like an injury, but nothing actually torn or broken. Of course that's just my guess and I am a long way from being a docter. lol...PT will cure it, but it takes awhile. In my case, the more pain that was involved with each PT appointment, the quicker it got better. Hope you get back to normal quickly rps !
powerdive Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Hope you get back to normal quickly rps ! I don't. Then rps will have to give up that silly bass casting stuff and concentrate on walleye trolling. Because he is so great about sharing info, I'll learn more. And maybe catch a few more walleyes myself. Bwaaahahahaaaa!

Members crackleback Posted September 21, 2011 Members Posted September 21, 2011 had the same thing about 10 years ago when I was in my fifties . . . . thought the pain would never go away . . . . . same as you rps, I could not raise my arm to the point where it would be straight out and perpendicular to my body . . . . and could never raise it above that position . . . . and that was while holding no weight whatsoever . . . . . I found it very difficult to slip on a tee shirt . . . . . . . rested it and rested it and rested it . . . . gave up a lot of things I normally do . . . . . . finally, after about a year and a half, the pain diminished and went away completely . . . . have never had it since . . . . . let me know during your rehab if you want to go out with me and teach me to walleye fish . . . . . . on your advice, I recently purchased my first Bill Norman topwater . . . . . have not had a chance to use it yet . . . . good luck and I think it will simply take a long period of rest War Eagle Camo
