Well congratulations on being the exception to the rule! :)

Theres a lot of us out here. What do you think keeps Price Cutter, Harter house, Orshelen, Ozark Hardware etc in buisness?

Price, Price, Price...If I need help finding something, I will ask. Don't follow me around offering your "advice". However, if I purchase something, and it isn't what I wanted or it is faulty, I'm all about customer service...Is that so wrong?

A strike indicator is just a bobber...

The was a company vehicle from tracker marine apparently testing a boat or equipment at Cedar Ridge campground ramp Wednesday Sept. 21 early afternoon who put in a boat and left their truck on the ramp with trailer in the water for hours. Two young gentlemen who were too lazy to park truck and walk back down to ramp. It is a shame to see such poor sportsmanlike and inconsiderate behavior from Bass Pro employees near thier corporate headquarters especially at a busy ramp on the end of the lake where most other boat ramps are closed due to high water.

Too lazy? Naw, there probably just coc.... Oops, Sorry I can't type that on here.

Brother "we" Are a small minority... Otherwise the auto industry would be totally different! But what do I know, I just work with consumers on the daily.. I'm tellin ya, I could be a Chimpazee and most wouldn't care, as long as the price is right.. I've actually had people tell me "well we saved a couple hundred so we bought there instead.. But we sure do appreciate you showing us the truck, our salesman there didn't know squat!"

Couple hundred bucks on a $40k purchase. Uh-huh. So much for all my "professionalism".

Sorry to get on the soapbox, folks.

Stay on the soap box Cricket, I agree with you. My only point was some of us value quality and service.

Glad to hear it.

Even I am guilty of sacrificing quality of service for the almight dollar.. Here's an example:

When you reserve something (like a rental car) and the person says "no deposit necessary", be VERY wary.

Heading out on a two week trip to the coast, I had called around and gotten prices from $400 to $800 for a rental on a large sedan (an Impala specifically), so I naturally went with the company that offered the lowest price, even though it was 30 miles away. I asked to give a deposit and was told that "our reservations require no deposit". This was over a month in advance. I called a week in advance to confirm and was told everything will be ready.

So I get there and am told that my Impala "won't be turned in from the previous rental until Monday, sir.. Sorry bout that.". They offered me the choice of renting one of two compact sedans (that couldnt possibly fit us and our luggage) or an AWD Chevy Traverse with all the goodies.. (that will cost about 1/3 more in fuel costs for the trip)

Needless to say I had to go rounds with them, ended up at a higher price (of course the only vehicle we could all fit in is the SUV that only gets 20mpg on the highway)

So I fill out the paperwork and she hands me the keys, as I load up I notice that it hasn't been cleaned, there's some kind of animal puke in the back hatch and the tank is empty.

I'm kinda wishing I'd have spent the extra money and gotten a decent customer service experience.

Not too sure how I would have handled it but I'm sure the sheriff may have been involved ;}

This isn't the first time BPS/Tracker Marine has had odds with COE and MDC near Lake Stockton.

There is some humor in this screwup!

:whistle::dizzy:

The Chocolate lab that is in my avitar was to be the model in a photo shoot. It was " Field and LAB" tested for their tracker duck boats and Toyuta Tundra trucks. It appeared in the BPO catalog and DU magazine,

They were at Aldrich ramp, but it was crowded, :yuush: So off to the road to the old bridge north of the public ramp. There were a couple of cat fishermen having some luck there and not wanting to give up their positions :bouaaaaah: :bouaaaaah:

In turning around both the Tundra and the Tundra towing the boat get stuck in the soft field. :innocent: :innocent: Especially when the MDC agent appears and is not particularly HAPPY! :pissed-off: :pissed-off: He offers a number for a towing company or a Chain.

My wife in our Chevy 2500HD Was able to use the chain to EXTRACT both Tundras plus the boat all at the same time :grin::x_x::grin::hope-my-fake-smile-works-again::goodjob:

Thought I would try to add some humor to a lack of courtesy! :secret-laugh: This used to happen on TR at the free SK ramp. Especially SKI boats!
