News release today makes it official, March 1, No Felt Soles. Unless they are treated with a glue that can be applied per specs on a Youtube video. At least we don't have to toss our old shoes out.

I hope people pay attention and take this seriously. I know that this isn't going to be a 100% solution, but the stories I've heard about this rock snot are pretty grim, just absolutely wrecks streams when it gets in them.

I would think that the whole sealing the felt with contact cement or Shoe Goo would pretty much render them useless and nullifies why someone would use felt soles in the first place...I bet that rubber cement is slicker than KY on a tile floor if you step on a slick moss covered rock in the stream...

What are "other specific trout waters?" Obviously felt will be banned in the parks...but where else?

Rubber cement...yeah. rolleyes.gif

One would have to expect that it would include all the ribbon sections of streams and Taneycomo. But I agree that "specific trout waters" just is not clear enough.

I would venture to say that it will be all spelled with the printing of the revised Wildlife Code book that will hit the stores in late Feb.

I would venture a guess that Taney will be on the list as well as the wild trout areas. But why just some and not all?
