Me and a buddy went down there last sat at sunrise started up bull creek not doing any good because i didnt know how to fish taney for bass, now table rock im good at finding fish. i was wanting to find some fish so we headed down stream to warmer water. we had to quit around 12 so around 11 we found a small little cut off the main channel that opened up it wasnt very deep i had to trim up the trolling motor but we could see the bass and sight fish. we started throwing small flukes and we caught about every bass we saw. I have heard stories of catching bass off the moss and lilley pads with frogs and stuff and wanted to go try it but never found the grass and lilley pads. and info would be appreciated.

Thanks KingTuckey

I aint "skeerd"!! Just want people to have a good time!! If you really think that this a a big "secret". It really is not. There has been articles and people talking about fishing Bull Creek and Lower Taney for bass for years. The challenge is finding how to catch them consistantly. Just like any other body of water. I don't own it: just like to share it with fellow outdoorsman. Isn't that what it is all about? :D I have been very blessed and have caught more fish than alot of people would only hope to catch. Just keepin' it real.

Hope to see you on the waters.

Hey Hunter.

Pretty nice of you to share, can only come back to you 10 fold. I've bass fished Taney for years even though I live in St. Louis. Every mid summer family trip would find me bass fishing Taney.

Bull creek is awesome and I'll share another with you. This is the first of your 10 fold return. There is a slough behind the marina at Rockaway that sometimes is absolutely filled with bass.

I would like to take you up on your offer to "show ya". I don't have a boat but I know some spots down there that produce fish. Does the offer include a day on the water? If so I'd like to come down and fish with you. Hey can't hurt to ask.

For Cripes Sakes!!!! Bass fishing on lower Taney is by no means a secret nor-has it ever been.

People have been Bass fishing down there for as long as I can remember. Late 60's.

There has in the past been tons of magizine articles, webinformation, radio talk show info and word of mouth for as long as the lake has been here, and before with the float trips on the river.

Charlie Campbell has talked about and spread the word on it for years.

Rex Grady was writing articles and doing TV on the Bass fishing on Taney in the 60's and 70's. and beyond.

There is no more prussure now than there was then, and I don't expect any even if everyone in the world knows it, and by now they should.

It's not Lake Fork or Amistad, There are some nice bass down, on the lower end, but even with todays prussure on the Rock and Bull, you wouldn't want to base your taney catch in a tournament against one of the warm water lakes.

For the most part bass fisherman want to fish elite name bodies of water, where their hero's fish and compete. They could care less about catching a few bass on our pond.

I have asked clients if they wanted to bass fish on taney, and most say, Why?

I have responded there are some nice bass on the lower end and you can have a pretty good day of fishing. 99 out of 100 will say, "Lets fish the Rock" we didn't come to fish taneycomo, we came to fish World Famious Tablerock Lake.

Almost 100 percent of our trips are only part about the catching. It's all that goes with it.

If you like to bass fish on taney have fun with them, and quit worring about who knows it. I guarantee you haven't just invented the wheel.

Good grief guys, I didn't say anything about whether he should keep the lake, or even the general area a secret, I simply said that, for his own benefit, he might not want to be that specific. Bull Creek is a big cove, but it ain't that big and the cover is pretty obvious.

There are a lot of people reading these and giving out information is fine, but people shouldn't require specific directions. Its not done on TR reports, even though its much larger.

I just thought Hunter deserved a warning, so that he doesn't find himself crowded out of his hard earned success by someone who gained it via the net. :(
