duckydoty
Went up to Schell Osage with a buddy today and drew pill 28. Thought we were not gonna get a good hunt in but took the recomendations of the guy running the draw and went to F-13. Did not have to hunt the blind there and there was flooded milo and corn in the pool. Set up on the east side of the pool to start and busted 3 green wing teal right after shooting time started. Things slowed pretty quick so around 9 a.m. we packed up all the decoys and moved to the south end of the pool. We no sooner got settled into the trees after re-deploying all the decoys and had mallards cupping up and locking in on us. We had several large groups of birds work us up to 5 and 6 passes all day long. Pulled one more green wing and 7 green heads from the sky. Ended up getting on suzie in the mix also. One of the best hunts I've been on. Id say it rates in the top 3. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. BilletHead
Way to go on that hunt. I know when Pat and I drove through Schell last weekend the South refuge lake was packed with mallards.I Got some gadwalls monday from a pond. Then Pat and I went this morning on her day off. Two geese and two mallards. Some rather large flocks of ducks high heading South. duckydoty
Hunted back on Table Rock this morning around the Coney Island area and only saw 3 ducks from a distance. That hunt yesterday sure did spoil me. We'll get some ducks down here soon enough. Tomorrow will be 23 days in a row of duck hunting. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!!
