Guest TLewis74 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 SLUH? I think you mean SLU, the college. SLUH is St. Louis University High- aka, where I spent my high school career. But otherwise- Perron is back. So LET'S GO BLUES!!! Rob Yeah, DP57 is back but for how long? Him and Andy Mac have the concussion bug and Chris Stewart is MIA again. If the Blues can get more scoring from more than just the Backes line, they have a legit shot to go deep into May and maybe even get a crack at Lord Stanley's cup. The best thing about the Blues is the unexpected Goaltending of Brian Elliot and his 4 shutouts and nearly 94% save percentage. Don't have to be a expert on the game to know that is a strong recipee for success. As far as the Rams are concerned, Marty Schottenheimer would be a nice fit and before someone from out west starts moaning about not getting the Cheifs deep into the playoffs, just MAKING the playoffs would be cool.
Guest TLewis74 Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 I heard something about Rams going to LA, and the Jaguars moving to St. Louie, just speculation with Jax's new owner I assume. Jacksonville has a very tough Lease that would be hard to get out of. Raiders, Rams, and San Diego would be the easiest teams for Los Angeles to pursue due to "Looser" lease stipulations in each particular city. Who knows, Stan might want to move the Rams to London to be closer to his more important investment in Manchester United. (God I hate Soccer, I mean Football)
Brian K. Shaffer Posted December 26, 2011 Author Posted December 26, 2011 I would love - love - love it if Jeff Fisher would come and coach the Rams. He is just a cool dude... and he fly fishes and is darn good at it! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Fisher Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
joeD Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Other than losing to the Rams in 99 and having top-notch facial hair and sunglasses, what has Jeff Fisher accomplished?
Al Agnew Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 I don't think coaching is the problem. They need somebody who is good at picking players in the draft and free agency, and they need players. Spags hasn't impressed so far, but with the personnel they have, Vince Lombardi couldn't win with this team. They need some receivers, they need a tight end who can block and catch a pass now and then, they need an offensive line that can protect Bradford, they need one more good linebacker, they need about a dozen good players in the defensive secondary...and they need some luck by not sustaining so many injuries. And I know, other teams suffer a lot of injuries and still manage to win some games...but other teams start out with NFL players for starters and competent back-ups, while the Rams started out with several players of less than NFL caliber backed by players that wouldn't be on those other teams' practice squads.
Brian K. Shaffer Posted January 14, 2012 Author Posted January 14, 2012 Yeah... Jeff Fisher it is! I am sure one of us will see him around these parts fly fishing... perhaps both he and his son. Did anyone see that FOX Sports special where he was fishing Montana ?? He and his son were wet wading great looking water - and catching lots of trout. His son did catch more as you would imagine. Quillback Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Mock draft I was looking at has the Rams either picking WR Justin Blackmon from OK State or USC tackle Matt Kalil. Too bad they can't get both these guys! I'm a little concerned that Blackmon has a bit of an attitude problem, but he pojects to be an awesome WR, he could make Bradford look really good, like Randy Moss made Randall Cunningham look good in Moss's rookie year.
