duckydoty Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 Wow -- that looks like fun. Great that you can get your ladies in on it. My daughter has a big soft heart for animals, and went through a lot of years grumbling about me hunting. She even dabbled in being vegan for a while. She'd never hunt with me growing up, but she will fish with the ol' man if there's nothing else going on. Funniest thing -- she heads off to college and falls in with a couple guys, comes home and tells me she's been going turkey hunting! I bagged a couple pheasant a few weeks ago, and she was even willing to give it a try. Good to have may baby girl back on track! That is great your daughter is getting into the hunting. duckydoty Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 Awesome job...I need some duck recipes!! I set up in the wrong spot today Matt. Set up on the north side of a cove and all the ducks landed about 80 yards away from my decoys on the south side. I knew better than to hunt where I've been seeing ducks rather than hunting the wind. The pocket water just sucked them right in. I marinate my ducks in 1 can Mt. Dew, 1/2 cup soy, 1/2 cup worchestershire sauce and some hot sauce. Then you can make poppers, stir fry or fried duck fingers out of the marinated meat. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

I have been hunting up the lake around Bull Creek but not having too much luck. Do you think it is better down toward the dam?
duckydoty Posted December 19, 2011 Author Posted December 19, 2011 Try down by Cedar Point. The very tip of the last island is usally a pretty decent spot. Might get a chance at some geese there too. Good luck to ya buddy. Hope you guys do well. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
