I can understand muskie and smallmouth but not wipers. Missouri has stocked them so thick in some lakes the lure can't get past them to the other fish. What is the reasoning for the wiper in this list?

Wipers are sometimes stocked to control gizzard shad...although they don't actually accomplish that so I guess I have the same question.

Also, why not harvest top predators that are outside their natural system and damaging native fisheries? Northern pike, smallmouth or muskie in a salmon stream? Yank 'em!

I would argue that's a major oversight.

Ray Scott promoted this which helped with his publicity of the BASS tournaments and people have bought into it across the land.

I don't keep them because they smell like frogs and I don't eat frogs.
