Members mattie Posted January 1, 2012 Members Posted January 1, 2012 Im new to the area and to trout fishing and was wondering if cold fronts affect trout under the dam the same way it affects otherr species... in other words is it worth my time to travel down from ozark or should i work on my honey do list and wait faor a better day? thanks
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 1, 2012 Root Admin Posted January 1, 2012 Trout seemingly are not affected by fronts as much as warmwater fish, in my experience. Water is off... I'd fish.
laker67 Posted January 1, 2012 Posted January 1, 2012 I would agree with Phil. Over the years I have noticed that murky water seems to affect the fishing more than anything. And I am sure that it affects the fishermen more so than the trout. I have caught trout in sub freezing to scorching hot, rain, snow, sunshine, dead calm to blistering winds. Murky water, not so much. Get out there and catch some trout.
