duckydoty Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 Hunted the Rock again this morning. It was slow but better than the last 3 no bird days. Had a group of 4 mallards take a look first thing this morning. One of them decided to Peel off the group and commit. I missed. Messed around with some golden eye and dropped 2 then had another single mallard swinging by to take a look. Quacked at him 3 times and he spun right around and locked in. Awesome! Just the way its supposed to happen. Had a bunch of goose decoys out and some fart smeller motored right up to them in a pontoon boat like he was putting the "sneak" in them. I think he was fixin to take a poke at em till he saw me???? A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
Bird Watcher Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 nice! Better than what I did this morning here at work. It's always scary when someone slows down and stops to look at the decoy spread. I'm always expecting a .22 barrel to poke out of the window. I've cleaned too many geese with .22 bullets in them.
duckydoty Posted January 11, 2012 Author Posted January 11, 2012 Yep that's the third time this year that has happened A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners
rps Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I have not been on a duck hunt since cub scouts - that was in the early dark ages - None the less, I completely enjoy your posts, fin and feathers' posts, as well as billethead's.
duckydoty Posted January 12, 2012 Author Posted January 12, 2012 Left out Birdwatcher. Sorry. Haha. You cant forget him. The four of us have really been sharing the stories this year. Wish we could get some more action in the migratory bird section. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Visit my website at.. Ozark Trout Runners

Bird Watcher Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Haha. You cant forget him. The four of us have really been sharing the stories this year. Wish we could get some more action in the migratory bird section. It's a nice place to talk about waterfowling. I frequent some other waterfowl forums, but I don't discuss much on them. This is a nice place to talk about waterfowling with some laid back waterfowlers. On a fishing forum...go figure.
BilletHead Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 I too do some reading on other waterfowl forums. I woud not dare post in those hornet nests. I feel home here and can learn from you all, thanks from Marty "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead " One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting" BilletHead P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs" BilletHead
Feathers and Fins Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Marty I post on two others 1 i post on just to get a rise out of people because it is what you said, the other is a group of guys ive known a long time, its a small site mostly from around the central and mississippi flyways we tourment each other to no end but in the end we would give the shirts off our backs to each other. Most the other sites ive viewed if you are not part of the clique or agree with the owner and mods you are banned or treated by abuse and they allow it. I like it here as well its more of guys just shooting the breeze and enjoying talking to eachother. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
