Float Trips

Does anyone have the name and possibly phone number of anyone near the upper Current River that could haul a canoe and 2 of us from Cedar to Baptist? I have called and left messages at all the canoe rental places and have gotten no response. We are going down this weekend and wanted to float either Sunday or Monday.

Ditto on Jadwin...but shuttles are expensive down there...best bet is to bring two vehicles and run your own shuttle if you dont need a rental boat. Have Fun.

I think they give a discount to repeat users, but I have paid anywhere from 35 to 45 depending on time of year. Call ahead before you show up this time of year.

Akers Ferry Canoe charged $54 to pick up our vehicle at Cedargrove and drive it back to Akers last summer.

I will never get a shuttle from Aker's ferry again. Jadwin gets my money everytime.

Jadwin is probably closed down for the season. I would wander around Montauk and see if you could talk to a hatchery employee and see if they wouldnt do it for $20-30. I bet someone would.
