Members Genome Posted August 16, 2015 Members Posted August 16, 2015 Does anybody know what happen to this project? City is just mowing the riparian area like they always did. Trees that mako planted seem to be mowed to. seems like a lot work happened and then it just was forgotten.
ollie Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Yea, it was a waste of money. I talked to one of the guys who is like the landscaper for the town and he said that the people were always complaining that the weeds were getting too high at the park so they went ahead and mowed it to keep the towns people happy. I think it was a case of MDC having the funds and if Neosho didn't use them then they went somewhere else. Too bad it didn't change anything. jtram Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Poor pathetic Hickory, doesn't have much of a chance. Fun to fish a few times a year, occasionally a shot at a big girl, but can never compete with any other MO trout stream (urban lakes excluded)
ollie Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Yep. Cold enough all year to house trout, but not enough enforcement to keep them in there!
