I got the call to go even though I had no intent to hunt this weekend, infact I was planning on beating up trout and roaring river but a old friend who has never been wrong said to get my #!@ down there.

I knew something was up as soon as I hit Sallisaw and saw birds on just about every pond the whole way down.

The best hunt of the season we were limited in 20 minutes. Long drive to do a turn around we both laughed about it but I only get to hunt with him once or twice a year so I probably would have gone no matter what. It was a special day I wouldnt have missed anyway. His son my godsons first duck hunt. Little turd would have been hunting all season but his grades were below the required "C" average so he had to sit it out till he got the letter from his teachers that he was good to go.

There's nothing more fun than hunting ducks beside a flooded tree in my opinion. Nice hunt.

I was talking to Brother Dave about that on the phone today. I think next season, we are gonna get the year long licenses for AR. Beaver is only about an hour away from my house. The dam area anyways.

Oh, and Scott, keep your reports coming. I woke up with the cold sweats and shaking arms this morning. The DT's are pretty bad. They should get a little better of the next week or so

LOL... Duane you do relise Bull is in AR as well dont you lol.. Anyone of us who live so close to other states just needs to bite the bullet and buy the dang license. I dont get the DT's till about June. Then I start taking my shots of squirelette, not the best fix but does hold me over till early goose. I am already picking the geese that need fattening up before then.. Kinda bad when im driving down the road and my wife looks and see's honkers and says this flock or that flock needs fattening up.
