Members Needemp Posted January 24, 2012 Members Posted January 24, 2012 I know Mo rules call for 3 hooks on the A-rig and I'm sure everyone obeys that... at least I hope. I am getting reports that a lot of people are throwing them. Does anyone have any knowledge about the A-rig down there? What is its effectiveness?
DChance Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 I see this one is being kept a little hush hush. I know about what you do, that there are quite a few throwing them.
MoSportsmen Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I have nine hooks (three trebbles) on some of my crankbaits. Are these illeagle? Most of the Arigs I am seeing advertised have at least 4 arms, I don't think it would swim too well with only three baits on it. Tom Messing about in boats

Tom A treble is considered one hook with 3 points...You cannont have more than 3 total hooks on a single bait used by rod and reel in the state of Missouri.,..Most people either remove 2 wires or add 2 non hooked baits or 2 willow leaf blades on the arms that don't have hooks. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Daryk Campbell Sr Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 I believe you can have only 3 independent hooks, a trebble counting as 1 hook. You can run as many hook-less lures as you like. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction.
