fishinwrench Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 It's a Summertime big crappie hotspot, and the local serious trotliners seem to like that area alot.

shaker Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 There is a fair springtime run of white bass with a few hybrids mixed in also some walleye are caught there in the spring.
Members Ranger Dave Posted February 1, 2012 Members Posted February 1, 2012 Where is Sapp's Landing located? I would like to try it. I did most of my crappie fishing around the Dam and near 83 highway.

If you go north on 65 from Springfield go past Cross Timbers probably one mile turn left on CR50 its a gravel road follow it around to the lake before you get to the bridge that crosses the Pomme river there is a road that cuts off to the left that takes you down to the boat ramp and parking lot. Its a small narrow ramp but very useable and plenty of parking space. Richard
