What can you tell me about fishing around Sapp's Landing ?

It's a Summertime big crappie hotspot, and the local serious trotliners seem to like that area alot.

Sounds good to me. Its closes place to me last Spring and Summer the water was up too high and really didn't get chance to fish it like I wanted.Did most my fishing up above 83 HWY.

There is a fair springtime run of white bass with a few hybrids mixed in also some walleye are caught there in the spring.

If you go north on 65 from Springfield go past Cross Timbers probably one mile turn left on CR50 its a gravel road follow it around to the lake before you get to the bridge that crosses the Pomme river there is a road that cuts off to the left that takes you down to the boat ramp and parking lot. Its a small narrow ramp but very useable and plenty of parking space.

I went down there today with my Little 12 Foot Jon.Did pretty good but Big Boats had me a Little Intimidated at times.Later wind didn't help.
