Convinced my lovely wife to join me for a float today from Kelly to Sunburst. I rigged her up with a prince-like nymph (12) and an egg and off we went. She quickly hooked and lost a small rainbow, but redeemed herself shortly thereafter with another small bow taken on the prince. Two more smallish bows soon followed both taking the nymph and then the biggest fish of the day, a 16" bow ate the egg. Four fish to hand and we had only fished from Kelly to the top of the next shoal. I thought this might be an epic day, but following that barrage she managed to turn a few fish, but brought nothing else to hand all day. We weren't really catching them in the best looking water, but in small seams that were a little shallower and somewhat slower. A wonderful day on the water, saw eagles, an otter and the only other people were Myron's builders working on another tree house cabin. Water level is perfect, but wish the water had a little more color to it, sometimes this river is just too clear! Never thought I'd say that coming from Kansas.
