Dutch Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Do you think the water temp will bring them up? Without a good flushing I wouldn't look for them early. Normally we catch a few when fishing for crappie in Jan and Feb in the James. So far this year we have seen exactly 0.
Arofishing Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Where abouts are you guys fishing? I take it you're a ways down on the lower James, the Galena area? I stopped fishing the James around Springfield, well, because I couldn't find any darn fish!

Dutch Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 It doesn't look good so far. The weather guessers said 2" last night and today. At my house we have only had a sprinkle.
Wayne SW/MO Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Flush for what? All to often they come in the middle of the run and flush the eggs into the lake. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Fishslayer88 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 i honestly hope the river don't come up i like it when it stays down and keeps all the bass boats out of my back yard.
