Addicted to Creeks Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 so i knew that we had re introduced elk to missouri only from what they out in the conservationist but are they planning on having a season for harvest in the future? Fish always lose by being "got in and dressed." It is best to weigh them while they are in the water. The only really large one I ever caught got away with my leader when I first struck him. Not anytime in the near future. Right now I think the herd is only in the 30's and confined to the Peck Ranch. ozark trout fisher Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 But the MDC does say that limited hunting will eventually be allowed to manage the herd. Probably will be quite a few years till the population gets to that point though.
