So I looked up Buffalo on their website and they had some nice small solos. However, when I called they said they were out of materials for a while, were getting materials in some time in the next few weeks, did not maintain a showroom, and did not have a list of dealers. So....basically, I would have to trust what I see in a photo on the internet. Nope....not gonna do it. Does anyone own one of their products, or know of an outfitter that rents them?

Also saw Raddison canoes on line. They looked interesting, but most dealers appear to be in the New England/Upper Midwest area. Anyone have experience with those?

I'm a hand on kind of guy when it comes to shelling out hundreds of dollars for a product. I know out here there are few retailers that allow demos, but at least would like to see them.

I believe the the Kings River Outfitters uses them. I've also seen some on the Buffalo, but I don't remember any names.

I've got some old 16 foot buffalo's. No longer in great shape but they do float and don't leak. You can have one for $100 bucks. I solo them by turning the boat around and sitting in the back seat.

Buffalo makes a decent canoe...I've only had experience with the 16' tandem and its a good boat...no idea about a Radisson...I'd avoid Buffalo's 10 solo model though..its just too small.

I dunno know about that Gavin. Wacky worm has a couple of the piros in 10 foot set up with a seat on them and for calmer water they aren't too bad. I wouldn't recommend them for much more than that though. I too would stick with a longer version however. If you need to look at one you probably have to go down to Arky land where they make them. I have heard nothing but good about them.

I have a 16ft buffalo that I solo. I like it alot. I built a seat that sits right in the middle of the canoe. We have had the buffalo for 3 years or so.

everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
