Gavin Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 The full moon didnt set till after daybreak on Saturday..They probably fed all night long.
2sheds Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 For the last 8 years I have fished NFOW one week in mid-July, then 11Pt the next. I am always amazed to relearn how much of a different fishing technique I need to use in terms of depth, water speed, weight, tackle selection, etc.
Justin Spencer Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 The full moon didnt set till after daybreak on Saturday..They probably fed all night long. Glad someone is just like me Gavin, I can come up with an excuse for everything. Had they bitten well I would have said with the full moon they were up all night partying and had the munchies the next day! LittleRedFisherman Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Looks like alot of fun, makes me wanna head up there again soon. That's one fine river in my book, second to none! There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
gotmuddy Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 I really like the 11pt, its a great river. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
OKFlyFisher44 Posted March 15, 2012 Author Posted March 15, 2012 We loved the river. So much awesome water to fish and the feeling of being totally remote is always cool. We just couldn't figure out the trout. We will return... Chance ...I'm haunted in my dreams of waters I have yet to fish and trout I have yet to catch... Chasing the Dream...
Mark Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 95% of the time, you will catch your share of fish on the Eleven Point. Chalk it up to the 5% of the time when it is tough fishing. You are right anout the remoteness and tranquility, as I always say - catching fish is just a bonus. But do us a favor OKflyfisher, let's keep it our little secret!! Seriously, you would not believe how the river traffic has picked up in the past 5 years. 10 years ago you could alomost guarantee having the river practically to yourself on a weekday.
