Guest Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 12"-15" has already fallen in East Okla in 24hrs. These are the same totals we had in a 3 day span last year.
Quillback Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Yeah the rain seems stuck over in eastern OK, every once in a while some of it moves over here, but not to the extent the weather guessers keep saying we're going to get. Not that we need any more.
hoglaw Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Yup, War Eagle has gone "ballistic": But Richland Creek has crested....not sure about the White: It looks like they've backed off the totals some to me. Eastern Oklahoma is getting pounded, but the storm doesn't appear to be moving east much, mainly going from south to north. There's a massive amount of stuff over Dallas right now, but if most of that stays west of us and keeps going north, it looks like we may get spared with only 5 inches or so. Trophy is right, Eastern Oklahoma is clocking in over twelve inches already with the worst yet to come. But meteorologist Hoglaw is backing off of his rain-pocalypse predictions.
hoglaw Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 The graphs didn't post, anyway, both War Eagle and Richland are blown out and went vertical, but Richland is falling now. I think Beaver gets a major bump, but unless that storm drifts farther to the east, I don't think we see flood gates this time around.
Stump bumper Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I am using this site to keep up. http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/WCDS/Reports/Data/Beaver.htm Looks like we got the good end of this storm, but I don't know about a trip to Grand anytime soon, the radar was yellow and red over there all day yesterday. Seems normal generation is keeping the lake level steady, I am expending a foot or two over the next two days when the flow from the white and war eagle reach the dam. Seems just enough to get the weeds in my back yard going again after spraying them last week. Anybody got eyes on Hickory Creek, I bet it is mud down that way.

The White is pushing 10,000 cfs right now...thats pretty stout but not catastrophic. http://waterdata.usgs.gov/ar/nwis/uv/?site_no=07048600&PARAmeter_cd=00065,00060
Feathers and Fins Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Just got a call from a buddy out fishing today and he said the mudline is all the way down to Beaver Shores. Im skeptical of that but suppose its possible, if it is I know where some stripers and cats will be https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Quillback Posted March 20, 2012 Author Posted March 20, 2012 Stopped raining here in Bella Vista, the weather guessers are saying it's supposed to start up again with more wind, but if not I might sneak down to the lake.
jeb Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Looks like we missed the bad stuff. Not much rain today in the PC area, about 1/2" more. PC is running high, and the lake is up a couple of feet, I'd guess. But PC is still pretty clear. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Feathers and Fins Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Well back to stripers this weekend then. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
