Members caseysmith14 Posted March 22, 2012 Members Posted March 22, 2012 Most definalty. Although I may learn that taking care of USGS gages beats the hell out of my current job... regardless of the pay:)
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I would be very cautious. The forecast is for more rain and you certainly don't want to be the first one under a new strainer, or the last. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Members caseysmith14 Posted March 22, 2012 Members Posted March 22, 2012 Ahhh we threw in the towel. The steaks and chicken wings are going in the freezer and coming back out next weekend instead. Extended forecast looks like it will be much better by then, I hope. fyi - it appears the gage is working again.

Members caseysmith14 Posted March 26, 2012 Members Posted March 26, 2012 So anyone have any guess on what I can expect for fishing conditions this weekend? River's getting back down to normal, but does it usually still run dirty for a while after the heay rains?
fishinwrench Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 It will have some color to it for a few days, but if we get no more rain this week it will be in excellent shape by the weekend.
Wayne SW/MO Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Creeks and rivers in the Ozarks don't stay colored enough to hurt fishing for very long. If it's still a little high and slightly off color the fishing will likely be better. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
