Members dbaltz Posted July 23, 2012 Members Posted July 23, 2012 I go 7' ugly or im6. I do the seven because it helps when I solo the canoe I can get the line around the bow or stern when that spot or smallie comes runni g straight at me. Can also give you a little more length when trying to unsnag from that hole you don't want to totally disturb.
Members KC Bass Fanatic Posted July 24, 2012 Members Posted July 24, 2012 I use 2 rods: 5'6" Med action Berkley Lightning rod casting w/ a BC reel (the old black ones from years ago with foam handles - love this rod) 6' ML or M Action Pflueger President spinning I've found there isn't much I can't throw or a fish I can't handle with these 2.
Members CaptainNemo68 Posted September 20, 2012 Members Posted September 20, 2012 I also have a Pflueger President spinning with a 6' M rod, but I usually use a 5' 6" L Ugly Stick rod with an Abu Garcia Cardinal spinning
