denjac Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 Fished almost everyday last week and would rate the fishing fair to good. Just couldnt seem to pattern fish. One day deep, the next right off the banks. Had some consitant schoolers every morning that it didnt rain. The A rig will still produce if you have wind and are fishing shallow, but on calm day better go to steeper banks with some timber to get a bite. Better be thinking smaller baits around spawning banks and put the rig down. Sure there are the giant bags coming in, but its the same ole story, right place right time.Alot of fronts and rain to contend with last week so maybe it will calm down this week and the fish will be more consitant. I didnt look for nests much, but never saw any. Maybe the rising water and the tea colroed water covered them up, or maybe they just werent there. All the fish I caught were just starting to belly up so I feel rumors of already spawned fish are greatly exagerated. Lenght of daylight play an important part as to when the fish go to the beds, along with the water temp. All in all not to bad a week. Dennis Boothe Joplin Mo. Bill Babler Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Very good report. Ya for me much the same. Fished the exact locations and teniques that Buster incarcerated his big bag on last week, with a really good hand and caught 7 midgets. One day Beck will hammer them and the next he is applying for the greeter job at Walmart. Do not for a minute believe we have spawned out fish. Just not time. I was a very few beds before the rise and it looked just like a buck or two was a wishin. We now have falling water to contend with, but its time for them to bite. Blue Bird is hard,we need those old cloudy days. Thanks for the info. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
