pvspmo Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 Does anyone have one of these or know somebody that does? I'm just looking for an opinion... MPG, road noise, cargo space etc. Thanks for any info you can give!

mic Posted April 27, 2013 Posted April 27, 2013 I wanted one, but the wife thought it looked like a hearse.
Members Ratdz Posted February 28, 2014 Members Posted February 28, 2014 I am a Ford Technician. I get to drive Flex's quite a bit. My mother in law owns one and really likes it. I own a Ford Windstar and I can compare the two. The Flex is a bit less noisy than the Windstar. Not real sure on the fuel economy but I believe its in the mid to upper 20-s. My windstar by comparison gets 24 or so on the highway. The Flex gets the nod when it comes to power though. It has a 3.5Lv6 and the windstar has a 3.8Lv6. No comparison on power.... The ride of the Flex is nice and smooth, but not quite as smooth as the Windstar in my opinion. You have to be careful in the Flex as you can go much faster than you think you are while driving down the interstate. I'm sure our next vehicle will be a Flex. Oh, and we haven't seen many of the Flex's for major issues at our shop yet. Good luck!
pvspmo Posted February 28, 2014 Author Posted February 28, 2014 Ended up buying a 2012 Ford Flex AWD. Great vehicle, my wife loves it. She has put about 45,000 miles on it and averages 20 mpg. The all-wheel-drive cuts on the mileage some. One of our daughters plays travel softball and we take it on those trips. Loaded with 4 people, gear, coolers and everything we need, we still get above 20 on road trips. Could not be happier with it!

pvspmo Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Our Flex has 3rd row seating... They fold flat to make cargo space. Very handy!
