Mitch f Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Would prefer non camouflage. I never do well with bibs and a jacket. Since I do mostly cold weather fishing, those 10 mile runs in my jet boat at 40 degrees get pretty cold. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Gavin Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Walls from Walmart...Not waterproof but cheap, and a great outerlayer for winter camping.
MOsmallies Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Hey Mitch - Right before I headed to LOZ for Thanksgiving this past November I purchased a set of snow pant bibs from Dick's Sporting Goods. They were black, insulated, and waterproof. I payed no more than $30 for them and they seem to be pretty well made. Definitely kept me warm on the couple winter trips I made this year. They would be way to hot for warmer weather and probably not the best for rain, but they're perfect for cold and mostly dry weather. Paul
LarrySTL Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 For waterproof and warm, I'd have to say something that is both goretex and thinsulate. Thats going to be pricey but if you use them for a few years, most folks find its worth it. Yes, the opposite of what I just did on waders . http://intervenehere.com
Mitch f Posted March 31, 2012 Author Posted March 31, 2012 Thanks guys, I'm even haing trouble finding exactly what I want on the Internet. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
LarrySTL Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 If you haven't looked for them as snowmobile suits you might try that. http://intervenehere.com

soggyfeet Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 snow suits would be a good idea. Ive work out in the elements and have found that a good base layer with a fleece layer or two and powerpants(for skiing) and a good long rain jacket work the best for me Brian
Dutch Posted April 2, 2012 Posted April 2, 2012 Bibs and coat, not coveralls. Bass Pro Shop 100 MPH gortex rain suit. Pretty warm and the driest suit I have ever worn.
