Hey guys, I'm headed to the lake this weekend and I'm thinking I'm gonna fish Cedar Ridge to High Point for whites and crappie. I've got a small John Boat with no trailer so I take a little longer to get in the water - can someone tell me a good free ramp where I won't be in everyone's way? I don't want to hold everyone else up cause I'm a little slow!! Thanks for the info and the patience!

PS I'll post here on Sunday and let everyone know how I did!

Help me!! Help me!! I've fell into fishing and I can't get out!!!

Free ramp? No idea. Out of the way? Probably not. But be careful on THAT lake in THAT boat. Watch the wind, things can turn rough quickly. We would like you to be able to return to give us that report.

I would choose Aldrich, but it's going to be busy up there.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going fishin off the bank at Aldrich Friday night and will check it out, but I hear the water is clearer up by Hight Point and that was my only reason for headin that direction. I was going to try to drop the boat in on Sat at Cedar Ridge but it looks like a camp ground and I didnt know if they charged just to use the ramp.

I was at Hartley Boat Ramp last sunday and only about 8 cars...Wednesday night none, and it's free...and a protected cove when the wind is out of the south or west or some combination of that...good luck

A strike indicator is just a bobber...

There are two ramps at Cedar Ridge.. One is in the camp grounds for campers only BUT, the campgrounds don't "officially" open until the 16th of Arp and anyone can use the ramp until the campgrounds officially open.... There is plenty of shore line by both ramps and you should be able to launch your boat and move it off the ramp and finish loading your gear... If you have BING or Google maps ; you can see the lay-out of all the ramp areas.....

High Point is a "free" ramp, but it is quite steep.

Life's way too short not to fish!

We fished Sun Creek area off highway 39 last night. Free ramp. Easy launch. Shallow, narrow area to fish. Only have to boat about 100 yards and we tore the crappie up. Fished about 4 hours but could have had our limits in and hour.

There is a FREE ramp in the back of Greaser creek but, you wll need a good map to get to it... The roads are blacktop all the way... Greaser is a great place for crappie... Just off of the ramp is an old pond and I have caught a limit in less than an hour ( if they are stack there) .. Right now I would go north ( left standing on the ramp looking out at the lake )... This time of year the crappie are on the shore-line.......

There is also a free ramp back in Hawker. You get to it on the first road that turns south on the west side of the mile long bridge.
