Im heading down for the weekend tomorrow and was curious if the bass are spawning in the dam area as good as I have herd in the river arms. I herd the fish are really moving up and just curious if anybody has been out fishing in the area.

I was a FLW camera boat driver yesterday for KOLR News Channel 10 and we were primarily in the Dam area, Indian Point, and below the 86 bridge and the spawn is ON.

I Fished Flw today around the dam and kimberling. Tons of fish on beds, tough to get them to bite though.

let's hope it stays that way but, some of the best in the world are there to pluck them off beds so good luck to those precious spawning fish you guys have in that awsome lake.....sorry for the rant

That lake can handle it, but there are others that probably can't and I know the river fish can't.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

Wayne, I know it can handle it I just think it's a silly process to take a fish from a bed and weigh her at another locale and release her there as well. I have taken many fish off a bed @ Table rock and put them all back, I just feel stupid even doing that. I just hope the fish they weigh have laid the eggs and are at least gaurding then mabey some of the fry will have a shot, I doubt it though......possibly the buck will hang around and defend who knows. I know alot of guys paychecks depend on catching some bedding fish though.

Far more tourneys fished at the big O during the spawn.... Don't seemed to have affected it much. The lake is at it's best in many years right now

Not a sight fisherman myself, just not good at it. Like to look at them sometimes, but mostly scare them when I fish for them.

Overall, does it really matter if someone sees the fish, or gets the same fish to come up for a spook, drags a rig past it, or swims a grub over it? Caught is caught. Yes, they are cherry picking, but we are too when dragging a spilt shot rig, just more randomly.

If you are fishing less than 10' deep on Table Rock in April/May (and apparently sometimes late March) you will catch spawning fish whether you intend to or not. Just the way it is.

Tounaments have been going on during the spawn for decades and the fish have seemed to turn lemons into lemonade out of the deal.......so i imagine they will pull through during this tournament as well. For every 1 fish that is caught off of a bed and relocated, there are tons that are overlooked in deeper water. I am not a bed fishermen due to the lack of patience watching a stubern bass.
