moguy1973 Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Nope. All you need to rent a boat out there is $5.30 and a drivers license. They keep your license as collateral while you have the boat. They all have oars. Some are better than others. If you get out there and the boat key you have is junky you can just take another one that is better. The key opens all locks on the boats that are on that specific lake. They also rent trolling motors for $25/day or you can put one of your own on there. They are all 14' boats I think and they have three seats but not much room for anything else if you have three adults on there. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Haris122 Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Cool, thanks for the info. I think I will try that out soon then. Even if I don't catch anything, I'd find ways keeping myself entertained trying to figure out how not to paddle in circles all day.
Haris122 Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 That was a blast. I headed out there today (yesterday technically) and paddled/fished around lake 6 (not lake 7 like I intitially mentioned) for a couple hours. Had i just got there with a little more time to spend, I may even have caught something. Anyhow, I'm definitely giving this a try again, sometime soon. By the way, any info on Lake 6. What kind of fish reside there, and the success or lack of it, people had with it? I think one day I will get there early and try my luck at several lakes, see which ones I have luck with.
