Just a FYI. Taken from today's Branson Daily News:

[i]"Officials with the Landing also confirmed they have signed a contract with area developer Justin Gage on ownership of a marina in the northern section of the retail center.

Rick Huffman, CEO of HCW Development Company, said a contract was signed with Gage earlier this month.

Gage was not ready to reveal too many details of the marina during a phone call on Wednesday, but did say it would include two large passenger boats.

“We’ll have a 96-foot, $2.5 million motor yacht and the second boat will be an old-style-looking paddle boat,” Gage said. “Both are 149 passenger boats.”

He said the yacht will be similar to the American Star passenger boat that his family owns on Table Rock Lake."

 Can a 96 foot yacht operate on Taney?

The length of the yatch shouldn't be too much of a problem. The limiting factor would be how much water it draws. I am not sure how big the Branson Belle is but I recall someone saying it only draws 8-10' of water (could be wrong as I am working off of memory).

Gonna get to be more like a circus than a fishing lake isnt it.

I would rather be fishin'.

That boat and others of that size will not be able to go upstream I wouldn't think because they wouldn't be able to turn around. The Lake Queen never went above their old location for that reason and it wasn't no 96 feet long. I know Justin- I may give him a call in a week or so and inquire.

It's been a circus for a long time. When I think about how Taneycomo was in the 1960s and '70s, and then think about how it is now...

man, it just keeps getting worse

I don't know why this keeps happening, when is enought enough?

I saw once on TV a bunch of Japanese all fishing around a big tank on the second floor of a high rise, jigging tiny jigs with a small ice fishing rod every once in a while they would catch a tiger prawn or a tilapia and the attended would cook it up on the spot,

I guess its comming here if we keep going this way, shame too as kids will never get to see how it was

MONKEYS? what monkeys?
